IDC DONATES PATROL VEHICLE TO BOOST SECURITY IN ILESE

In a bid to strengthen the security architecture of Ilese and its surrounding communities, the Ilese Development Council (IDC), under the chairmanship of Asiwaju (Sir) Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, KSC, has donated a patrol vehicle to the Ilese Divisional Command of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps).

The donation, according to the IDC, is part of its ongoing commitment to support security agencies and enhance the protection of lives and property in the area. Kalejaye noted that the gesture was aimed at promoting more effective and efficient community policing, adding that the council plans to extend similar support to other security formations operating within Ilese.

“We are determined to contribute meaningfully to the safety of our people. Security is a shared responsibility, and we encourage well-meaning individuals and organisations to partner with the IDC on this important, people-oriented initiative,” the council said.

The IDC also appealed to residents, community groups, and stakeholders to support ongoing efforts to ensure a safer environment for all.

Dignitaries present at the handing-over ceremony included the Elese of Ilese, Alaiyeluwa Oba Oluremi Owolabi Obayomi; Baba Oba of Ilese, Otunba R. O. Odusanya; Asiwaju (Sir) Kunle Kalejaye SAN, KSC; Hon. Segun Ogunkoya; Pastor Mike Okueyungbo; Chief E. A. Sanya; Chief Sakiru Mojeed; Mr Niyi Adeiku; Mrs Toyin Afolabi, among others.
