Officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), under the directive of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, have sealed the National Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.
At precisely 2:06 p.m. on Monday, FCTA personnel shut the main gate of Wadata Plaza, the PDP’s national secretariat located in Wuse Zone 5. The action is part of a broader crackdown following the FCTA’s announcement to repossess properties whose owners defaulted on ground rent payments for periods ranging from 10 to 43 years.
This development comes amid a growing political standoff within the PDP, with Wike recently pulling out of the party’s reconciliation efforts, accusing key figures of betrayal and non-compliance with agreements.
The FCTA had earlier disclosed that 4,794 land titles across the capital territory had been revoked for similar infractions.
