BREAKING: SAUDI CONFIRMS SUNDAY EID-EL-FITR

Saudi Arabia has announced the sighting of the Shawwal crescent, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the new Islamic month. As a result, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
The announcement was made on Saturday via Haramain’s official Facebook page, a recognized platform for the global Muslim community.
According to the statement, the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 was sighted, confirming the conclusion of Ramadan fasting.
“The crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025,” the post read.
Eid al-Fitr, also known as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is a significant celebration in the Islamic calendar. It is observed by Muslims worldwide with prayers, feasting, and acts of charity, signifying gratitude for completing the holy month of Ramadan.
Many countries, especially those that follow Saudi Arabia’s moon sighting announcements, are expected to observe Eid on the same day. However, some regions may celebrate a day later, depending on local moon sightings.
