CHINA SLAMS TRUMP FOR ‘POURING OIL’ ON IRAN-ISRAEL TENSIONS

China on Tuesday accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of inflaming the growing conflict between Iran and Israel, warning that his remarks risk intensifying an already volatile situation.
Trump had urged Tehran residents to “immediately evacuate” following Israel’s surprise aerial strikes last week targeting Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure. The attacks came amid long-standing tensions and derailed ongoing nuclear negotiations between Iran and world powers.
Responding to Trump’s comments, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said:
“Fanning the flames, pouring oil, making threats and mounting pressure will not help to promote de-escalation… it will only intensify and widen the conflict.”
Guo urged nations, especially those with “special influence” over Israel, to act responsibly and work toward de-escalation to prevent a broader regional war.
Meanwhile, China’s embassy in Israel has advised its citizens to leave the country immediately, citing escalating security risks following days of intense airstrikes.
“It is recommended to depart in the direction of Jordan,” the embassy said on WeChat, warning of mounting civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.
The latest developments add to growing international concern over the potential for the Iran-Israel conflict to spiral into a wider regional crisis.
