Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland-Adeleke, celebrated their love in a lavish white wedding ceremony in Miami, United States, on Sunday.

The event marked the couple’s third wedding celebration, following their court marriage in March 2023 and a grand traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.

The Miami nuptials drew a glittering guest list of business moguls, political leaders, and entertainment heavyweights. Among the notable attendees were billionaire Aliko Dangote, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, music stars Zlatan Ibile, Adekunle Gold, Teni, nightlife impresario Obi Cubana, and talent manager Ubi Franklin.

In a touching moment during the ceremony, Davido, visibly emotional, addressed his bride:
“Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the most nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home… You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see, and you still chose me.”

Chioma, radiant in her white gown, exchanged vows with the Grammy-nominated singer before clergy offered blessings. The celebration was punctuated with luxury touches — from a $300,000 (₦460 million) Richard Mille wristwatch gifted by Davido to customised cufflinks bearing the image of their late son, Ifeanyi, as a heartfelt tribute.

Guests were treated to a high-energy reception where Davido took the stage, later joined by his bride in a joyful dance. The 32-year-old singer revealed he spent $3.7 million on the Miami affair, originally planned for August but brought forward to this weekend.

The couple’s love story began over a decade ago at Babcock University, blossoming into a public romance in 2018 with Davido’s hit Assurance, followed by 1 Milli. Despite facing public scrutiny and personal loss, they welcomed twins in October 2023 and now begin their married life with a celebration that captured both glamour and deep personal sentiment.
