MultiChoice Nigeria has reduced the price of its DStv decoder from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000 in a bid to attract more customers following a significant drop in subscriptions.
The company’s CEO, John Ugbe, announced the discount on Tuesday as part of the ‘We Got You’ campaign aimed at making content more accessible and rewarding customer loyalty. “We want to ensure our customers feel appreciated and have access to the best entertainment every day,” he said.
MultiChoice also introduced a free upgrade promo for subscribers who pay for their current package in full between June 16 and July 31, 2025.
The offer comes after the company reportedly lost 1.4 million subscribers between March 2023 and March 2025, following three price hikes within a year.
