World football,FIFA ,plans to pay prize money directly to players’ accounts of women’s world cup winners in the group stage against Australia/New Zealand.

The change is due to unpaid allowance issues involving Nigeria’s Super Falcons, who were owed their bonuses from two years ago.

FIFA Secetary-General Fatma Samoura acknowledged the challenges faced by the Super Falcons and emphasized the importance of ring-fencing prize money. The group stage players will receive $30,000. Match bonuses will increase to $60,000 in the second round.
