Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in three new judges of the State High Court, charging them to uphold integrity, fairness, and the fear of God in the discharge of their duties.
The newly appointed judges are Barrister Maryam Umaru Abdullahi, Barrister Shamsuddeen Abdurrahman Ƴammama, and Barrister Abubakar Muhammad Dikko.
The swearing-in ceremony, held on Monday at the Government House, Katsina, was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and family members of the appointees.
Governor Radda described the occasion as a significant milestone in the state’s judicial history, noting that the new appointments would strengthen the judiciary and enhance the delivery of justice across Katsina State.
He commended the State Judicial Service Commission for ensuring a credible and merit-based selection process that produced competent and qualified candidates.
“Everyone looks up to you for justice both those who have a voice and those who do not. I believe your position will guide you to the right path if you perform your duties with diligence and sincerity,” Radda said.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the judiciary and legislature to foster harmony and collaboration among the three arms of government.
He also emphasized the need for timely justice delivery, cautioning that unnecessary delays in judgments could erode public confidence in the judicial system.
