Prince Isaac Owolabi Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has withdrawn his lawsuit against Mr. Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Adviser to the FCT Minister on Media and Communication, at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The notice of withdrawal, dated November 4, 2025, was filed at the Abuja Judicial Division in Gudu. The case, filed under suit number FCT/HC/CV/GAR/157/2025, was brought in line with Order 23(1) of the court rules.
In a document signed by his lawyers from C-P Nzedebe & Co, including Nzedebe Chinoso Paul, Prince Fayose informed the court of his decision to discontinue the matter. “Take notice that the claimant/applicant hereby discontinues this matter against the defendant pending before this court,” the notice stated.
Mr. Lere Olayinka, who served as media aide to former Governor Fayose during his administration in Ekiti State, was formally served with the notice through the Office of the Honourable Minister, FCT.
The notice did not provide reasons for the withdrawal of the suit.
