President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to defeat terrorism and deepen diplomatic relations with Nigeria’s international partners.
Speaking before Thursday’s Federal Executive Council meeting at the Aso Rock Villa — the first since July — the President said his government remains focused on advancing peace, stability, and prosperity under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tinubu’s remarks come amid growing global attention on Nigeria’s security situation following U.S. President Donald Trump’s designation of the country as one of “particular concern.”
He said Nigeria is constructively engaging the international community to strengthen cooperation and promote economic growth, noting that the recent $2.3 billion Eurobond oversubscription reflected renewed investor confidence in the nation’s economy.
The President urged members of his cabinet to maintain unity and focus in implementing key reforms, assuring Nigerians that the government remains steadfast in its pursuit of national peace, security, and prosperity.
