Lagos council moves against street trading

Written by on August 7, 2023

The Ojodu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has appealed to the state government to provide it with a piece of land to build a market in the community.

The chairman of the LCDA, David Odunmbaku, said having a designated market in the community would help to tackle street trading. Odunmbaku spoke at an event to mark his two years in office.

Odunmbaku said he was committed to ensuring positive change in the LCDA and appealed for the cooperation of residents.

He noted that even though there might be opposition from the people, he believed in their utmost cooperation if he spearheaded the movement.
