The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has warned the public about a fraudulent message circulating online, falsely claiming that the NELFUND Student Loan Registration Portal is currently open.
According to the agency, the message directs unsuspecting applicants to a third-party link, http://gvly.xyz/Nelfund-Student-Loan, which it described as unauthorised and fraudulent.
In a post on its X handle today, NELFUND advised students and members of the public not to click the link or submit any personal information. It stressed that the official loan registration process is conducted exclusively through NELFUND’s verified platforms.
The Fund also urged applicants to remain vigilant online and report any suspicious links or communications claiming affiliation with the agency.
“Applicants are encouraged to always verify official announcements via NELFUND’s official website and social media channels,” the agency noted.
NELFUND added that the advisory is part of its ongoing efforts to protect students and maintain the integrity of the student loan application system.
