Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed confidence in his re-election bid for the November 8, 2025, governorship poll, stating that he sees no formidable challenger.

Speaking during a media chat to mark his third anniversary in office, Soludo asserted that his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has delivered on its promises and remains the preferred choice for Ndi Anambra at the state level.

He emphasized that while voters in Anambra may support different parties in national elections, they remain loyal to APGA for governorship and local government positions.

“If there is an election, which there will be, and I am on the ballot, I ask: who else is running? Which party is fielding a candidate? So far, I have not heard of any,” he said.

While acknowledging calls for him to seek a second term, Soludo maintained that the final decision rests with APGA and the electorate.

Anambra is one of eight states where off-season governorship elections are conducted due to past litigations and court rulings. Others include Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Kogi, Osun, and Ondo.
