OBI CELEBRATES ATIKU AT 78, REFERS TO HIM AS ‘MY DEAR ELDER BROTHER

The Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has felicitated with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his 78th birthday, describing him as an “elder brother, boss, and elder statesman.”

In a message posted on his X handle today, Obi commended Atiku’s decades-long service to Nigeria and praised his continued engagement in national affairs.

“Special birthday wishes to an elder statesman, my very dear elder brother, boss, and elder statesman, Your Excellency Atiku Abubakar,” Obi wrote, noting that Atiku’s sustained involvement in public life demonstrates “remarkable fortitude.”

Obi prayed for greater accomplishments and long life for the former Vice President, adding:
“I wish you continued success, prosperity, and an unending stream of accolades… May God grant you many more healthy, fruitful, and fulfilling years, with the wisdom and strength to keep contributing to peace and nation-building.”

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri also celebrated Atiku, describing him as a source of pride to the state.

Happy birthday to our distinguished elder statesman, Waziri Adamawa, H.E. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Your contributions to our nation and our dear Adamawa State remain a source of pride,” Fintiri said in his message.

He prayed for Allah’s blessings, wishing Atiku good health, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to Nigeria and humanity.
