The Ogun State Government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, has officially commissioned the reconstructed Awokoya Road and Igbeba–Talbort–Yidi Lane in Ijebu Ode Local Government, signifying another key achievement in its ongoing urban renewal and infrastructure efforts.
Previously in a state of disrepair and frequently affected by flooding, the roads have now been rehabilitated with modern drainage, clear road markings, signage, and pedestrian-friendly features. The upgrades are expected to ease traffic flow, improve road safety, and boost economic activity in the area.
At the commissioning, Governor Abiodun highlighted the significance of the roads, noting that the project aligns with his administration’s ISEYA development agenda to enhance the quality of life for residents across Ogun State. He also thanked the people of Ijebu Ode for their support and patience during the project’s execution.
“This commissioning reflects our administration’s dedication to inclusive development and equitable governance. We are determined to ensure every part of Ogun State benefits from our vision,” he said.
The ceremony was met with praise from local leaders and residents, who described the initiative as both timely and impactful.
