Monarchs in the Iwo Traditional Council have appealed to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to withdraw his executive order, reversing the installation of some traditional rulers in the state.
The order, according to the council, is slowing down the monarchical governance of the affected towns.
They traditional rulers made the appeal in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Oluwo of Iwo, Alli Ibrahim, on behalf of the traditional ruler, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, who is the council’s chairman.
The royal fathers said Adeleke’s order affected Olupo, Alawuje and Alaya, whose domains are under the Iwo Traditional Council, whose appointments and installations as monarchs by the immediate past administration of Mr Adegboyega Oyetola were suspended by Adeleke immediately after he took over the government on November 27, 2022.
