Arsenal defender William Saliba has revealed that interest from European giants Real Madrid was “really tempting,” but stressed that his priority remains winning titles with the Gunners.

According to a Fabrizio Romano X post today, the Arsenal defender was quoted as saying, “Real Madrid interest: “Of course it’s really tempting when a club like that is interested in you… …but I wanted to win titles at Arsenal first before thinking about anything else”, he told Telefoot.”

The 22-year-old French centre-back has been a key figure in Mikel Arteta’s defence since his return to Arsenal, helping the club challenge for major honours in domestic and European competitions.

Saliba’s comments underline his commitment to the north London side, despite ongoing speculation linking him to Real Madrid and other top European clubs. The statement is likely to reassure Arsenal fans that the player remains focused on the club’s ambitions.

It was reported that Real Madrid were actively exploring defensive reinforcements with centre-backs Dean Huijsen, William Saliba, and Ibrahima Konaté on the club’s shortlist.
