Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has publicly warned that Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and former Governor Yahaya Bello should be held responsible if she or her supporters face any attacks.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Kogi Central lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to celebrating Sallah with her constituents despite a recent state government ban on rallies and public gatherings.

“Should we be met with or infiltrated by violence? Nigerians should hold Gov. Ododo, Yahaya Bello, and SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible,” she wrote.

This warning comes after the Kogi State Government and the state police command prohibited political gatherings, citing security concerns. The police had also specifically urged Akpoti-Uduaghan to cancel her planned homecoming rally.

Despite these restrictions, videos circulating on social media show a large crowd of her supporters, mainly women, eagerly awaiting her return, singing and drumming in anticipation.
