President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has Abuja for Paris, France, on a private visit before heading to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the upcoming African Union (AU) Summit.

Confirming the trip, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu’s visit to France is private but will also provide an opportunity for bilateral engagements with French President Emmanuel Macron, before proceeding to Addis Ababa early next week for the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government summit, which will be held from February 12 to 16, 2025.

The summit will also include the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the AU.
