Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declaring that while the United States knows his location, it will not target him — “for now”.

The provocative statement was posted Tuesday on Trump’s Truth Social platform, amid growing speculation over possible American involvement in the escalating conflict between Iran and U.S. ally Israel.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target but is safe there — we are not going to take him out (kill him!), at least not for now,” Trump wrote.

The former president, who cut short his attendance at the G7 summit in Canada to return to Washington, later posted a follow-up message demanding Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” — a phrase that has fuelled concerns over heightened military tensions in the region.

Trump also claimed that U.S. forces had “complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” praising the capabilities of American-made weaponry, though he stopped short of confirming any U.S. military action.

The remarks come as Iran faces ongoing airstrikes from Israel, following accusations of Tehran’s continued nuclear weapons development — a long-standing point of contention in the Middle East.

While Trump reiterated that the U.S. is not directly involved in the fighting, he hinted at diminishing restraint.

“We don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin,” he stated, underscoring growing frustration in Washington over Tehran’s actions.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One during his return from the G7, Trump said he was not in the mood for negotiations and emphasised the need for a “real end” to the Iran-Israel conflict rather than a temporary ceasefire.

“I’m not in too much of a mood to negotiate,” he said, referring to Iran’s refusal to accept a previous deal to end its nuclear programme.

Trump is expected to hold high-level meetings with top military and intelligence officials in the White House Situation Room to determine the next course of action.

With tensions continuing to rise, observers are watching closely for signs of a potential shift in U.S. strategy — from diplomatic pressure to possible military engagement.
