The Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba, Iba Gani Adams, has pledged his support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu, saying his Presidency represents a new chapter for Nigeria.
Adams stated this in a congratulatory letter to the President on his recent victory at the Supreme Court, obtained by The newsmen yesterday.
Noting that “Nigeria is going through a lot at the moment,” Adams said Tinubu’s “victory has given rise to a leadership that this time demands. And we must agree with the fact that this is truly a new chapter in the political trajectory of Nigeria.”
He, however, urged Tinubu to make the best of his Presidency to, especially, heed the widespread yearning for the restructuring of the country.
He said, “Your Excellency, as much as I join other Nigerians to celebrate your victory, I am of the view that now is the time for us to build the Nigeria of our dream.
As the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, I believe in restructuring as the best solution to the foundational problem of Nigeria. I will continue to support your administration as a Yoruba man, a brother and a father of the nation, especially, a Nigerian nation that is tied to this political ideology.”
